Our next gig is at the new restaurant/bar called Burger Bar. It is a couple of doors down from the County Market on 6th street.

|Awesome Local Bands|
One of the worst things about playing out at bars on weekends is that you miss all the other bands that are playing at the same time. When I get a free Saturday, I try to make it a point to go support local music and see my friends' bands. What's even cooler is that sometimes they invite me up to sing one or two of their songs. Not only is that a great honor for me, but it also allows me to promote Novocaine to an audience that already appreciates good live music. I'd like to give a shout out to Big Daddy Jasper, Dizolver, and 2 Live Fu for letting me sing with them at their gigs recently.

|Back in the Saddle at Boones Saloon|
This is the third time we've played at Boones Saloon now and the second time we've played for Springfield Social Club. This time we brought our acoustic guitars. Originally it was going to be just me and Jon, but the rest of the guys came together and we put together an impromptu acoustic version of Novocaine. Jerry wanted to test out the cajon (a wooden box customized to make different drum sounds) he had been building for the last couple of days. Ed played on despite not feeling well. Sky plugged in his acoustic guitar into a much smaller amp than his usual Marshall stack, but still managed to bring his unique sound to the mix. Jon and I played a few songs we had been working on together like Live's "Lightning Crashes", Big Head Todd & the Monster's "Circle", and "Banditos" by The Refreshments. Then the rest of the band joined in for some of the less edgy songs from our usual set.
